Changing Calories Burned Every Time It's Synced

I'm having trouble with my new Fitbit blaze. Every time I sync it to my iPhone the calories I have burned that day get changed dramatically. For example. In the morning I will sync it and it will say over night I average burn 360 calories. I then go ahead and beat my personal goal of 1000 calories.the watch celebrates this. I then sync it and then it basically disappears and I'm back to calories burned of 260!!!!!! have I misunderstood something here? Can someone please explain it to me or help me. THANKYOU 🙂

Thanks for stopping by @ThimbleDust, hope you're doing great today! Have you double checked that your Blaze was properly linked to your account? You can find the steps to set it up here

In regards to the calories, the value that you see on your tracker when after setting it up is your estimated calorie burn for the day so far. We estimate your calorie burn based on your age, gender, height and weight. You burning calories even when you are sleeping or just sedentary. When you are not wearing your Fitbit then it is estimate your passive calories burned. That what you see on the dashboard after the set up.

Hope that helps!

Hey 🙂

My day is going ok besides being very confused about my problem with my Fitbit blaze.
My blaze is connected properly to my phone and email (I have two emails. One for the Fitbit and one for the community).
I understand it has calories already automatically there when I'm sleeping ect but I'm get part when the watch celebrates that I've burnt 1000 calories and then I sync the watch to my phone and then it's automatically deleted and I'm back to burning only 200 calories. I'm very frustrated. Am I miss understanding something? Did I burn those 1000 calories or not? Does it have a weird way of calculating? Why would the watch buzz and do a celebration if I hadn't reached my goal of 100 calories? Does my blaze have a bug or problem? Am I not understanding properly?

Please help 😞

but you made sure that your Blaze is linked to your account? This could be one of the reasons why your calories are disappearing when checking your Dashboard... I mean, your Blaze can show the 10,000 steps, but your dashboard won't since it might be no connected as is should.

Another reason may be that you're manually logging activities.. Typically, your data will be recalculated if you manually log an activity as the manually logged activity takes precedence over the data you tracked while wearing your tracker at that point in time. For example, if I am wearing my Blaze and walking and I reach 300 calories burned, then I go to the computer and manually log an activity that starts and ends at that point in time for say 2 hour, Fitbit will calculate how many calories you burned and it may bring my calorie count to something below 300.

Hope this helps!
