Thanks for stopping by @ThimbleDust, hope you're doing great today! Have you double checked that your Blaze was properly linked to your account? You can find the steps to set it up here.
In regards to the calories, the value that you see on your tracker when after setting it up is your estimated calorie burn for the day so far. We estimate your calorie burn based on your age, gender, height and weight. You burning calories even when you are sleeping or just sedentary. When you are not wearing your Fitbit then it is estimate your passive calories burned. That what you see on the dashboard after the set up.
Hope that helps!

but you made sure that your Blaze is linked to your account? This could be one of the reasons why your calories are disappearing when checking your Dashboard... I mean, your Blaze can show the 10,000 steps, but your dashboard won't since it might be no connected as is should.
Another reason may be that you're manually logging activities.. Typically, your data will be recalculated if you manually log an activity as the manually logged activity takes precedence over the data you tracked while wearing your tracker at that point in time. For example, if I am wearing my Blaze and walking and I reach 300 calories burned, then I go to the computer and manually log an activity that starts and ends at that point in time for say 2 hour, Fitbit will calculate how many calories you burned and it may bring my calorie count to something below 300.
Hope this helps!
