I've had the Charge 2 for about a month & a few days ago it stopped vibrating and displaying text & phone notifications. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and everything seems to be set up correctly. The Fitbit app shows notifications are on, but the Charge says they are off. Here is what I have done so far:
1. Verified notifications are on in the Fitbit app
2. Verified notifications are on in Settings for the phone.
3. Tried the suggestion from other posts - told bluetooth to forget the device, restarted phone, paired it again, and verified all notifications settings
4 Tried a reset - Charge 2 in charger, hold button till logo shows, and verified all notifications settings.
Nothing has worked and I am starting to get a little frustrated.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks

I think one of the previous posts touched on something that could be addressed by Fitbit. I have had the notifications turn off for no apparent reason several times. I'm thinking it probably happens when I attach my charger and accidently hit the button with the charging clip. Could Fitbit change the firmware to somehow require a more deliberate action on the part of the user? Perhaps something as simple as a second press to change the state of the notifications once the notification setting has been selected?

As one of the folks who stumbled upon this solution, I couldn’t agree more you more. I believe part of them doing that though is that with newer models being introduced in here might be the possibility that something like this doesn’t seem like a pressing issue.
