Charge 2 Syncing help

Just bought new Charge 2 last night, and would not set up on my MAC. Was able to get it set up via iPhone. 

Called support, and they are shipping a dongle to plug into the computer, but any ideas how to make this work via Bluetooth? Even when attempting the initial setup, it said to enable Bluetooth so why would that functionality not work? 

Also having problems with it syncing in general with iPhone so far .. will sync, then next attempt will be "Looking" endlessless until I power off and on the Fitbit unit and try again.

Any ideas?

It may not be syncing via bluetooth on your MAC because you do not have bluetooth 4.0 or higher. It may also sync using the charging cable plugged into a USB port.
