Latest iOS update 2.29

OK, I am just going to get it out there, the latest update (2.29 as of 11-Nov) is terrible.

So, not only does the "Quick" action button now float around in the middle of nowhere when we are in the dashboard, but it is also gone when we go elsewhere in the app (i.e into the Accounts for example of into Food, etc).

It seems to me that this is no longer really a "quick" action button since we can only access it from one specific place. Please set the button back down where it was so that it can be accessed from the whole app.

I don't understand why people feel the need to fix things that aren't broken

Also, not such a big issue but what is the deal with the GIGANTIC pink "Edit" button ? I don't know for other users but the only time I used the edit button is when I set up the app and then forgot that it existed. Now it's all in my face tbh and there is just no use for it

The update is terrible! Whereas I used to only have problems logging one kind of activity using the app, now NOTHING logs. I don't get any error messages with the new problems but nothing shows on my dashboard either. What on earth is going on with Fitbit? Updates are supposed to
fix bugs, not introduce new bugs.

Hello @sike1984 and @Browndog, it's nice to see you around, welcome to the family @Bestybroadway!. Smiley Happy

We really appreciate our members's input and feedback and I would like to thank you for yours. Our team is always looking to improve the Fitbit experience and and I would like to encourage you to submit your request to modify the Quick Action button or your ideas in how to improve the Dashboard as a suggested feature, where our members can comment and vote for it so it can be implemented in the future.

@Browndog, are you still unable to log in activities or are they not appearing on the Fitbit app? Please note that it's possible to check previous activities logged in the app by tapping on the Track Exercise tile where they will be listed chronologically.

@Bestybroadway, is your device not tracking stairs climbed (floors) or is the data not appearing on the top tile of the app? Would it be possible for you to reply with a screenshot?, that would be very helpful!.

I'll be around if you need anything else, keep me posted! Smiley Wink

I am still unable to log activities using the iOS app. I can (and do) log activities using the web application and once logged there they syncs to and appear on my app. It is a huge inconvenience though to not be able to log activities from my phone app.

This is a chronic and ongoing problem. It started last spring.

To repeat the steps I have taken, on Fitbit's advice, I have:

Updated all associated apps and operating systems
Reinstalled all associated apps and operating systems
Rebooted, repeatedly
Replaced both phone and Fitbit

So far Fitbit has been unable to offer a bandaid, never mind a solution. So no. The problem has not been resolved.
