Charge 2 isn't syncing with iPhone 8

Hi I am having trouble pairing up my new iPhone 8 with my Fitbit charge 2 the Bluetooth just isn’t finding the Fitbit and I have tried all the trouble shooting solutions and none have worked please help !?

Thanks for troubleshooting your Charge 2 to get it syncing again. I'm sorry for the difficulties that you've had with your Charge 2 and let's work on this together! As you may know, there are some conditions that may prevent your Fitbit device from syncing. For this reason, please make sure of the following:

 

  • The software on your iPhone is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Your Fitbit device and iPhone are within 20 feet.
  • To avoid any interference, turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby.

 

Although you've tried troubleshooting steps, please give a try to these steps in the given order:

  1. Remove your Charge 2 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Verify that the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap the profile's icon > setup a new device.
  5. Choose the Charge 2 and if asked, tap on replace device.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions and when prompted, proceed to pair via Bluetooth.

Hi I have done everything you said and I still cannot sync up . My new
iPhone 8 just isn’t finding the charge 2 on the Bluetooth.my old iPhone is
still linked to my charge 2 as because the screen is damaged I cannot
unsync them - do you think this might be the reason I am struggling to sync
to a new phone?
