Charge 2 not sending text notifications to iPhone 6s

I have an iPhone 6s and I can receive Notifications on my charge 2 when someone calls But I cannot figure out why the text messaging isn’t giving me a notification. 

I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions and still no luck. Please help!

I also just got a 6s and the same has happened with my surge, everything was fine on my 4s.  I have checked everything and deleted and re installed the app etc still nothing and it’s a really important feature as I cannot have access to my phone all the time so need to get the messages via my watch
