Charge 2 not syncing or tracking GPS information

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my charge 2 for about 5 years now, but I've recently started running and the GPS isn't working properly. I have to open the app and make sure its synced to my phone before starting, but last night I went for a run, got it so the little phone was in the top corner so it was tracking properly, finished my run at 9.02 miles in 1 hour 38secs. But when I've synced it to my phone the map isn't there and it says I ran 8.98 miles in 1 hour 41.

Then this morning I've been trying to sync it to the app and its took 3 hours and several refreshes to get it log what I've done so far.

Recently I've been tracking my distance by starting tracker on the app directly but this defeats the point of it, and doesn't show up on my watch.

Is my fitbit too old and just dying?

Hi there @MFMB92

Thanks for the information and the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior posting.

I would suggest you to please remove the connection between your phone and your Fitbit Charge 2. You can do this, by following the steps below:

  1. Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.

On a side note:

  1. Force quit, and reopen the Fitbit app to refresh the connection with your device.

If you continue having trouble to sync the device, I recommend checking here for more troubleshooting steps.

Hope this helps.
