Have been wearing and recording my sleep since receiving my charge 3 fo over three months now everything fine until this week.
since Saturday it is now splitting my sleep pattern in two chunks with an hour and a half of nothing in between. Therefore my scores are incorrect, I have read and done everything you said ie. restarting watch and app , wearing on other wrist, changing from sensitive to normal etc . Nothing changed ! It was working perfectly up to Saturday what’s gone wrong ?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Nellyps. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I am sorry to hear your sleep is being split in two since Saturday. I totally understand how you are feeling as you haven't changed anything and your device has been working fine before. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. I recommend doing the following:
It is possible to correct the sleep record by following the steps from this help article: How do I edit, or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?
You can find more information about tracking sleep here.
Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

This has been happening to me as well, since around the same time frame. I wonder if there was an update? I have to edit my sleep at least 5 times a week because it shows split sleeping, even though I am not awake. I do not have my sleep set to sensitive so this shouldn't be an issue.

I tried these steps and they didn't correct the problem. I think something happened in one of your updates. I have to edit my sleep about 5 nights a week sometimes. It's inconvenient and a pain.
