Charge 3 disconnecting from GPS in app after update.

I have had no problems using my Charge 3 to record runs since getting it in January. Since I ran the update a few days ago, however, I cannot get it to hold a connection to my phone for more than a minute. This is extremely frustrating as I cannot record my run data at all now. I haven’t altered any settings or devices, just run the update as prompted by my app

Hello @DonnaKim thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us, thanks for letting us know you haven't changed any settings in your phone so far. Tell me, have you restarted your Charge 3 after the update? Have you restarted your phone as well? If you have, I would like to suggest you the following:

  1. Go to your phone Settings > Fitbit and make sure that Location has been set up to Always.
  2. Before you start a GPS activity, open the Fitbit app.
  3. Once open, start the activity from your tracker and wait for it to connect. Do not force-quit the app, as it should be running in the background.

Give this a try and let us know the outcome, we'll be waiting to hear from you.
