Charge 3 doesn't stay connected with phone

So the last couple of days I noticed my Fitbit is “losing” time and is behind my phone.  I was able to update it this morning and the time synced, now it’s 3 minutes behaving my phone, I haven’t been able to connect all day, have turned things off and on.  Connectivity has been an issue since I got the Charge 3 about a year or so ago.

Hi @Trekgirl. Welcome! It's great to see a new face around.

Thanks for letting me know that your Charge 3 isn't connecting correctly and for troubleshooting it on your own. Just to confirm, do you see an error message on the Fitbit app when trying to sync? Have you made sure to update the Fitbit app to the latest version?

I'd recommend to try the following steps to reconnect your tracker:

  1. Remove the Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off any other Bluetooth connection nearby.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone and restart your tracker.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile icon > set up a device.
  6. Choose the Charge 3 > replace device and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hello, I have done all of that, several times.  Won’t connect.  Also 24 hours later it it 25 minutes behind the time on my phone.  I do not get it wet, I charge it every morning while getting ready for the day, so it is not low on a charge.

Hi @Trekgirl. It's good to see you here and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for taking the time to try the suggestions from my post, as well for sharing more details about your Charge 3's behavior. Recently our team released a new update for the Fitbit app, so please make sure it's downloaded in your phone. If that doesn't help, I'll need you to provide me with your phone's model and iOS version so I can further instigate.
