Thursday, all was fine. In the next two days I updated to iOS 13.5 and Fitbit Premium. I found Saturday that my previous two days of walks did not reflect my route anymore on the app. Yesterday, I did all the fixes. Uninstalled/Reinstalled app twice. Powered off and on a couple of times. Updated to new app version.
Just walked four miles. Not better. It does track as long as I don’t try to change music on Amazon app or let the screensaver turn on. As soon as I leave the screen for any reason, the Charge vibrates to say It isn’t connected to the Phone. I go back to app, all is good.
Worst? I have always enjoyed using the phone for calls while Fitbit works silently. I got a call in the walk. Answering the call stopped the sync. And ended 1.6 miles of walking. It all disappeared. For five minutes after I began tracking a new walk. No map data though.
Second walk had map data only because I watched it closely. Good thing this was a walk not a run or biking.
So, the problem is not fixed and workarounds are not acceptable.

Hi @Fjohn1, thank you for your reply.
I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. I would like to confirm that the latest version is 3.24 (969). It was released on June 22nd, please try to update the app: How do I update the Fitbit app?
I also recommend doing the following: go to your phone's Settings, scroll down to the Fitbit settings, go into Location and change it from "Always" to “While using the app”, sync the device and then change back to "Always".
Let me know how it goes.

I had the same issue once I updated to IOS13.6. My fix, go to iPhone settings, find Fitbit. Change Location settings to “While Using the App”. Open Fitbit App. Sync. Close Fitbit App. Go to iPhone settings. Find Fitbit. Change Location settings to “Always”. Open Fitbit App. Sync. Close Fitbit App. Re-open Fitbit App.
After completing this sequence I was able to keep my Charge 3 connected to my phone and GPS. I will confirm when I go on my next run and report back to this thread.
