Charge 3 not receiving text notifications

My problem with notifications on my charge 3 is limited solely to text messages. I receive all other notifications including calls and calendar events. I have tried everything suggested in other threads relating to notifications and the problem persists

Pay special attention to page one of that thread and perform each step carefully. If there are any new updates they will be posted there. If you have further questions it would be best to post them there.
