Charge 3 not syncing correctly or stayed connected.

My charge 3 has started losing its bluetooth connection. I have an iPhone SE. My Charge 3 is on, looks like it is working and tracking. It has plenty of battery left, over 70%. But then I go to the app, and the app says "Looking..." and keeps looking. I go to Bluetooth, which is turned on, and it says my Charge 3 is not connected. I turn Bluetooth off then back on. Still Charge 3 is not connected.

 

The only way I've found to get the phone and the Charge 3 speaking to each other again is to restart the Charge 3 by pressing the button. Once the Charge 3 is restarted, somehow it and the phone see each other again.

 

This has happened now twice is under a week.

 

But this shouldn't be happening. I've never had this trouble with my original Charge HR. I shouldn't have to restart my Charge 3 every few days. Should I?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far in order to try to resolve this issue. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. After that, go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Charge 3 and enable All-day Sync. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue. Then try to sync your device. 

 

Note that All-day Sync has been tested and confirmed not to drain the battery on your tracker or phone faster than usual.

Hello MarcoG,

 

I fixed the problem last night by plugging in my Fitbit, holding down the button, and restarting.

 

 

In response to your suggestions - before I solved the problem by restarting the Fitbit

1) I DID check Bluetooth settings on the phone. The tracker was on the list of paired devices. But it said "not connected". So the tracker was not sending out a bluetooth signal.

2) I DO have All-day Sync on. I've always had All-day Sync on, ever since I got the device.

2) I did not select Forget this device in the Bluetooth settings. I fixed the problem by restarting the Charge 3.

 

My biggest concern is that this is happening more often than it should. Even if I follow your suggestions, I shouldn't have to. I shouldn't have to restart the tracker. 

 

Why is this happening?
