Charge 4 - can't edit distance for GPS activity

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 4 regularly loses its GPS signal and as a result incorrectly logs my run distances. I try to manually edit the distance within the iOS app but the changes do not save. This is very frustrating. I used to sync a Charge HR to my iPhone's GPS and never experienced this issue. Any solutions?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @slcondie.

I am sorry to hear your Charge 4 loses the GPS signal and as a result incorrectly logs your run distances. Thanks for trying to resolve this by trying to manually edit the distance, I understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. If you can't edit the distance from your recorded activity, you can delete that activity and manually enter it with the desired information. For more information, see this help article.

GPS accuracy depends on the signal strength among other factors. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. For more information, see

I also recommend checking out this article with the information about the different factors that can affect the GPS: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I manually edit the distance in the iOS app but it won't save, instead reverting to the incorrect distance guessed at by the app. This is typically about 20% less than the actual distance I run, so the difference is large. I see other users having the same problem. Is there a fix?
