Charge 4 syncing issue

Come on Fitbit! I've had my Charge 4 for 2 weeks. I have the same issue everyday: I go to my iPhone 6 to open the Fitbit app and immediately get a message: Bluetooth pairing has failed. Cannot find device. EVERYDAY. Yes, yes, forget device, restart phone, I have the most to date version of the app, yada yada. I've read all the threads and followed all the fixes. This problem is common. And it is ANNOYING. I have to go through these steps everyday. I just want to wake up and not have to worry about my Fitbit. Can you come up with any more constructive solution? I had a cheapo Amazfit watch before I bought the Fitbit and NEVER had issues connecting to my phone. I am ready to return my Charge 4. Please advise.

I think I figured out the problem and have solved it:

I recharge my iPhone and iPad at a hub in the office every evening. I wear my Fitbit to bed. In the morning I gather my devices and that’s where the problems begin. I figured out that the two devices were both trying to connect to the Fitbit at the same time. Although the iPad has never been connected to the Fitbit at any time, its Bluetooth interfered with my iPhone. . I do not use Bluetooth on my iPad so I didn’t think of it as an issue. I was not even aware that the setting had been left on. I shut off Bluetooth on the iPad and now my iPhone has no problem connecting with the Fitbit every time and very quickly.

Sorry for all the trouble I caused. I thank you for your efforts.

Thank you for responding. Yes, I’ve followed all the steps outlined in the link supplied. I start by closing the Fitbit app. I go to the Bluetooth setting and “Forget Device” for my Charge 4. If the Fitbit app still can’t find the device after restarting, I restart the Fitbit device. One time I had to go through all steps listed.

But my question is also: why must I go through these steps at all? Why does the app lose the device every single day?

My iPad only works with WiFi, which I do not have in my house, nor is it connected to anyone else’s wifi.

My Charge 4 apparently disconnected itself during the 5 o’clock pm hour today, and refuses to reconnect.  I disconnected bluetooth, rebooted the iPhone 7 Plus, and opened the fitbit app, and...  nothing.  No “pairing” offered.  Bluetooth is “searching for others,” with no luck.

I have had this Charge 4 since just before COVID hit (go figure), and have had this problem many times starting one week into our relationship.  Disconnecting bluetooth, rebooting phone, accessing fitbit app USUALLY results in a new pairing, but sometimes, as today, NOTHING happens...  and sometimes five hours later it magically talks again.  Of course, I’ve lost all of the data in the meantime, which wreaks havoc with my challenge group stats.

My Charge 2 NEVER had this problem.  It is very obviously a programming issue, and I find it very hard to believe that it has yet to be fixed.
