Hi
In settings when I visit the "Set max heart rate" page it simply say "required" in the box for "Max rate (bpm)"
Does this mean I should enter a figure of 220 minus my age?
I thought this was set automatically but some of the results I have been getting make me wonder if it is correct.
All useful help happily received

@danco Your Fitbit maximum heart rate is 220 - age as your default number. You don’t need to change anything unless you have a reason to. Can you add more information about your experiences?

Thanks. But I am wondering why the box for maximum heart rate has "required" written in it? That sort of suggests you need to enter something,

@danco You got to that page when you tapped on "Max heart rate" in the CUSTOM section, meaning you want to set a custom value.
Your Fitbit is using your default (220 - age) unless you enter a different number. This information is directly above that box where you can enter a number.
