Charge HR not syncing to new iPhone 8 Plus

I just got the new iphone 8 Plus and it is unable to find my Charge HR thought bluetooth. I removed the Charge from the fitbit app account to try adding it back and it still won't find it through set up. I used my old iphone (also on iOS 11) and had no problem connecting to bluetooth and re-adding the charge back to my fitbit app account so this isn't an iOS 11 issue. I have no issues connecting to any other bluetooth devices with my new iphone 8. The only device I'm having the issue with is my fitbit. Please help.

Thanks so much for this reply. It’s good to know I’m not alone on getting a
faulty Fitbit . I’ll get in touch with them right away. I assume I can find
their contact info somewhere online. Thanks again~

Is it a new fit bit or was it used?

Mocha: my guess is new, because they gave me instructions to take my old unit to an electronics recycler, not to return it.

Click on the little symbol on the top right corner of the Fitbit app. Then go to Help and then contact customer support. The phone no is there. 877 623 4997

Thanks for all your great info.  I have owned a iPhone 8 since Xmas and couldn’t sync it until last night.   Fitbit is a fantastic company as I have had my fitbit replaced twice now without a problem.   I will continue wearing and purchasing their products.

This just happened with my alta hr.  I got a new iphone 8 and noticed that it would sometimes connect and sometimes not.  I tried the solution given here:  delete app and unpair it from the old iphone, delete app on new iphone, reinstall and re-add the device.  It totally worked!

I only unpaired it in my Bluetooth settings.  And, it worked on my new iphone 8+

Bi had this problem after changing to a new iPhone 8. Just read this thread after wondering why my new iPhone couldn’t find my Fitbit. Done what this says and it worked

I have had all of these problems and tried all of the fixes in this thread to connect my iPhone 8 Plus to my Alta. I no longer have the old phone and I’ve tried to sync it as a new device but it simply cannot find it. I’ve restartes my phone, restartes the app, logged in an out, turned Bluetooth off and on... everything. Please can somebody contact me to help me use the product I purchased..

Hello @SophieTJ90, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for letting us know about the troubleshooting steps you've tried in hopes to resolve this issue affecting syncing on your Fitbit device. Tell me, which device are you currently wearing? Have you restarted it yet? If so, and as you have removed the tracker from your account and it's not setting up again, I would like to suggest you the following steps, please perform them in order:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal and that there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  3. Restart your tracker again.
  4. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet and try to set up again.
  5. If you can't set up after the reboot, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet and try to set up the tracker one more time.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.
