Charge HR won't set up to iPhone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just bought my first Fitbit Charge HR, charged it, and am trying to link it to my iPhone. In the app, it just continues to search, but never seems to "locate" the Fitbit.

Ive tried:

-restarting the phone

-restarting the Fitbit

-uninstalling and reinstalling the app

-under Settings > Bluetooth, Bluetooth is on, but the Fitbit has never shown up, so I can't "forget device"

-iPhone is up to date, so no software updates.

I don't know what else to do?

Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

If your Charge HR is not setting up with the Fitbit app, I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  • Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal or enough cellular data.
  • Plug in your Charge HR and make sure it's charging.
  • Once the app starts locating your tracker, don't let the phone block itself during the setup process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Hi,

the same things is happening to me. I just got my Charge 2and it will not pair with my iPhone or my MacBook. I've followed all the troubleshooting steps and it still doesn't work. It just keeps giving me a code to put in, four numbers, but after I put it in it stays there and never finds or pairs the device.

I might have to send it back 😔

So, I was able to fix my problem. I gave up on trying to link the Fitbit to my iPhone, and decided to try linking it to my iPad. The iPad successfully linked right away, so I set up a few things from the iPad. The next time I got on my iPhone, I happened to get in the Fitbit app, and there was my Fitbit all linked and ready to go.

The only thing that doesn't seem to be working yet is getting the Fitbit to notify me of an incoming call (it's it turned on in the app, but nothing happens when a call comes in), but that's not a deal-breaker for me!

Hello @MelissaSuany thanks for joining the conversation, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you around too @SunsetRunner.

@SunsetRunner, I'm glad to know your tracker is now linked to your account. If your tracker is not able to receive call notifications please go to your phone settings > notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on Lock Screen.

If these options are already enabled, please go to the phone settings > Bluetooth and check if your Charge HR is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this device. Then, restart your phone, open the Fitbit app and go to Account > Charge HR > Notifications and enable them once again.

@MelissaSuany, as you're receiving a code t pair your tracker when you're setting it up, please make sure that you have a strong Wi-Fi signal and that there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the process. Additionally, please restart your tracker and leave it plugged in while setting it up.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
