So, here's what happens.  And it has happened at least 5 different times.

My steps are nearly 8,000 and my calories burned while in the classroom all day are 1,600.

I go to the gym and run 2 miles.  My steps update to nearly 13,000 and my calories drop to 1,200.

Would I be better off eating bon bons on the couch?

What gives?

And no, I don't have MyFitnessPal.  😞

My device is a Charge.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, @kelbygoodnight, are you manually logging your gym activity?  A manual log will overwrite what your Fitbit detcts during the same time period.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android

Julie,

I'm not doing that at all.  😞  Which baffles me even more.  Thank you for asking that, though.

I remember the FIRST and LAST time I did that to update the miles walked on the treadmill and POOF!  There went my logged steps for that time period.  It wouldn't have mattered much, but I was in a deadlock with my husband that day and I was on a mission to win.  lol  I never enter anything manually now.
