Confused between android and ios app

I've just got a new phone and moved from the android Fitbit app to the iOS. Obviously they're slightly different, but the one thing I can't figure out is the calories out and in bit. I have a deficit food plan set up and on the android app obviously your calorie burn goes up every few minutes and consequently if I was over for the day every time the calorie burn went up the amount over reduced. But on the iOS app my calorie burn is going up but as it does my calories over is going up as well? I don't understand why? Could someone explain why the apps are different in this way?

Hello @Daloje, I hope you're having a great day, it's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation as both apps show the exact same information. They should show be the same when it comes to calories burned. At this moment I would like to suggest you to update the Fitbit app and the OS on your phone if you haven't done it yet.

If you're still having issues after updating the app and your phone, please reply to me with screenshots of what you're able to see in the app.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply. Smiley Wink

The ‘calories over’ and ‘calories under’ don’t seem to work in the same way as on my android. Before if I burned let’s say 100 calories the amount over/under for the day would go down accordingly. But I’ve just seen that I was ‘568 calories over for the day’ so I burned 600 calories doing exercise and immediately after recording it it said I was still 229 calories over for the day. But in the last 10 minutes it’s gone down to only 155 calories over for the day. Where as before it would have immediately gone from 568 calories over to 32 calories under after 600 calories worth of exercise. Does that make sense? Is this the normal way the food plan and calories deficit should work? I’m very confused and finding it difficult to gauge where I am during the day.

Now it says I’ve reached my goal for the day but I’m still in the red zone? I really don’t understand as this never used to happen on my other app.
