My charge 4 is constantly loosing its bluetooth connection.  I have to forget device and pair it back over and over again several times a day.  Its only been doing it since the end of last week but my charge 4 is only 4 wks old. Not sure if its my device or something has been updated and now its a bug.  Anyone else having this issue in the last week?

Hi, @Statsgurl , what are you trying to do that you need to renew the connection several times a day?  What happens if you don’t?

Hi I'm just syncing.  I get a message that I need to go to settings and pair my device its lost its connection.  It does not sync with the app if I don't go thru the steps.

Have you got background (all day) sync turned on?  It doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t sync every time.  I can see that it would be annoying to be reconnecting several times a day.

What phone do you use to sync?

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android

Have a fitbit charge 4 looking at posts it’s all day sync only. Using an iPhone 11,Also have the Fitbit app on my iPad was syncing to that at first but have since turned it off.

When I get up in the morning I need to pair up again and if I go out without phone need to pair up again when I get home.

The problem may be switching between your phone and iPad.  The Fitbit can only pair with one device at a time, although it should be able to sync with either device.  If you mainly use it with your phone out and about O would ignore requests to pair with the iPad (or even turn bluettoth off on the iPad if that doesn’t affect other devices).  That way you shouldn’t constantly have to repair it with your phone.

Hi @Julia_G I use an iPhone 11 along with my pad as well.  It could be the background app refresh you mentioned to @eelluap .  I turned it off on my phone and pad so hopefully that will resolve this issue.  I turned them on because while in the app Fitbit kept telling me to turn them on..lol and I was tired of that message.  I primarily use my phone so if this work I will just try and background refresh on my phone and see if that works to avoid ALL messages 🥴.  Thank you for your help...very much appreciate it!

Hi after my problem of app disconnecting I removed the Fitbit app from my iPad and just have it on my iPhone 11 ( just the one device with app)with it left open in the background running seems okay so far.
Never had this problem with my Fitbit flex with apps on both iPad and iPhone. If that’s of any use.
