Hi @KateFitbit

I'm sure you want to do a good job and represent Fitbit well, but you may not be aware of how infuriating it is to see your post saying "3.27 should resolve the issue" directly following a post that says "3.27 didn't fix the problem".

Not resolved on iPhone, v13.6.1

Both Fitbit and app are up to date as well.

Going back to zero within a couple seconds, as before.

I totally feel your frustrating. I really have no desire to get a Apple Watch and be connected 100% of the time.

You’d think fixing HR Limits wouldn’t be that hard.

So what I’ve found is check my limits every morning. Sometimes they stick sometimes they go back to zero. I have found if you go to the actually FITBIT site and change HR LIMITS from there they seem to stick better. If you enter/exit WiFi the. I’ve noticed I lose my limits. At this point, I’m  Cardiology Registered Nurse so I automatically know where I want my HR to be and how hard to work.

Sorry for ranting. Change your setting on the actually FITBIT APP. Good luck everyone.

No change, alas.

So my update is Version 154.0 137.2MB.

My apologies, after I change my HR limits on the actual Fitbit site. I log out from there. Do a force reset on the Fitbit Versa. And make sure the app itself is closed out.

I know it sounds like a lot of rigamarole but it’s been a month and stuck.

Good luck guys,

Molly

Alas. Tried this on my Ionic, but did not work. Thanks anyway. We just have wait for the code writers at Fitbit to fix what they broke earlier this year.

FiitBit,

There are several ways you may be able to fix the iPhone app based upon my observations of the problem with my Inspire HR.  Can you modify your iPhone app so that you pop up the full alphanumeric keyboard when editing the MAX heart rate or zones?  This would give us an ENTER or DONE key which we lack on the keypad which I believe is forcing the value to zero whenever we try to view or change the HR values on that page.  Another option would be to add a SUBMIT CHANGES button like you have on the web site, but since the keypad is modal we may need the enter or done key on a keyboard to dismiss it and save the changes. Another option would be to dismiss the keypad and submit the changes automatically after the user enters 3 digits on the keypad.  If a mistake occurs the user can simply repeat the edit.  Perhaps one of these code changes on your end would save us from the aggravation of going to the web site and fixing the value just because we accidentally visited the HR settings page on the app and pressed a button! In my case with the Inspire HR the Max HR value stays intact as long as I don’t visit the HR settings page in the iPhone app and press a button.

Written for an iPhone...For any of you who have difficulty finding where to set max HR on the web site... log into your account, bring up your dashboard, rotate your phone to landscape so you see all the menus, select personal info on left margin, scroll down to bottom of page select set heart rate zones. Select set max heart rate, enter value. Press done, press submit, log out.  You may need to Restart The Fitbit app to see changes.

IpadOS 13.6, Fitbit 3.27

Enter custom max HR

Back out to previous screen

Go back into HR screen, custom HR gone

Leaving custom HR off and changing my age is an effective workaround till this is fixed. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

No, it doesn’t work in the new version of the app either. I have an Inspire HR and can’t set or customise heart rate zones. It’s pretty much the only feature I actually need to be operational since I have cardiac problems and need to keep a close eye on my heart rate.  It keeps going back to zero all the time which is of no use to me at it stands. It also keeps adjusting my weight back to what it was 2 years ago - the last time I had a Fitbit.

Seriously annoying!  Now I remember why I didn’t have a Fitbit for 2 years. I’m off to go shopping for Apple Watches. 😡

Let me know how you like the Apple Watch and if it worth the price.

My wife asked me to recommend a new fitness band. I researched and recommended the Garmin ForeRunner 35. She bought it (111 euros) and it meets her needs. I never even considered recommending Fitbit.

No wonder! I’d never recommend Fitbit to anyone. I seem to have forgotten why I haven’t had one in two years, but it’s all come flooding back. 😩
I’m thinking Apple Watch, but I’ll go and do a bit of research.

Issue NOT resolved on 8-19-2020 for Versa2.

I've tried all the user suggestions, removed and reinstalled the app.

Reset the Versa2.... Blah, blah....

No remedy yet,

Custom Rates jump back to zero, and then they are unchecked when leaving and

re-entering the phone app....

And, this is a CORE FUNCTION of the Fitbit.  Don't be \urprised people suggest

their next purchase will be someone else's product.  And they will leave you with prejudice.....

This unresolved issue may cost you.

Katie, do you consider this issue resolved?

I've got 4 Versa 2s in the family and they all do the same thing;

Reset to Zero - the max rate, and Upper/Lower limits.

It used to work fine.  You changed something?  Is this still on your RADAR?

Is anyone still working on this Fitbit-self-inflicted problem? After four app updates and an iOS update, the problem with my Ionic is still the same.

3.28 Appears to be working.

Thank you.

I make the changes on my Laptop (FitBit) profile, and it shows up on my phone.
