Agreed!  The dashboard is not good.  Sorry to who ever created it.  It’s less user & visually friendly.  Thumbs down👎🏽

I’ve been thinking about quiting FitBit and with these changes to the dashboard and the syncing issues, I’ve been seriously thinking of saying goodby to it.  I may look for something else or just quit altogether.

it stopped being fun.

The problem with choice is that they (FitBit) would have to support it.  I mean in a technical way.  I don’t see that happening.

I have purchased 10 Fitbits for myself and others.  This morning I was going to order a Versa 2.  With the new app, I will change to a competitor.  I can no longer use my phone to monitor my exercise.

Best Answer

I can here to see if I could find anyone who likes the new app.  So far no, but I like the suggestion to go to the app store and downvote it.  I just keep thinking that if Apple would support Android, Fitbit would go out of business in a year.

they should put it back the way it was and make it an option if you want to change it been very unhappy with Fitbit lately

Users should not have to lower than expectations. The old dashboard was "terrific". Fitbit tried to amp up its game or product and IMO completely missed the boat and have thrust this bad version upon the user. I have the Charger 2.

  • The women health tile is offensive and insensitive on so many levels. There are so many other forums that do women's health well. I don't want to read other women's period tracking issues or pregnancy tracking or menopause issues - women in those stages of life go to those dedicated forums.
  • If I were a man, I'd be doubly offended. I'm a woman and offended. Really - what were you thinking to use a blood drop, which is what the American Red Cross uses for blood donations by the way. There are so many other symbols for women health. I don't think I've ever seen a blood dot for women's health - I thought you were asking for blood type or donations at first - nope.
  • You have your transgender, IVF, menopausal, women without women reproductive organs, so many varieties of women health issues and women. Again - you were not in the heads and hearts of your users.
  • The font is harsh small as are the ICONs.
  • The color is flat and no longer pleasing, engaging, soothing - the old color - it just worked - it was a WINNER.
  • This whole premium update is offensive - Fitbit - you've set yourself up for someone to do this better than you - someone who really cares about the UX.
  • Syncing is taking longer.
  • FB cannot find the device and it's in my hand with FB on my wrist?
  • A feature I would like is reporting of walked/run miles with that ICON on the dashboard with the activity itself.
  • Really frustrated and probably my last FB. I have a Smartwatch and it is getting better. FB was the best - not anymore.

Company's that care about the UX - ask the users. The standard line of "we are always working to improve" is not user-friendly; be substantive in your responses - please. I have other apps that make "realtime" improvements based upon feedback. I'm going to the app store now for two things - to see what else is out there and to rate the FB app.

You missed the boat - you didn't ask your Community - that's market research 101.

FITBit has become CrapBit - spent an hour with Support and even they could not fix my issues!  It was referred to higher authority and three days later still no feedback from CrapBit

time to move on and look at Apple again

Totally agree. I guess they are banking on selling tons of devices to their developers because they are not producing anything their customers want.

A person would think that Fitbit makes enough money from our data that they would not ask us to buy it back.

Best Answer
Hi, your experience is consistent with a company that is out of touch with customers who expect service and to be impressed with an lived experience of we really do care and value you patronizing our business. When the higher is not responsive to at least say we are researching your issue and look for a response in X days then you know what to do when you hear birds chirping.

Wow I was slow on that. You are probably so right.

I cannot believe that a successful company like Fitbit has no regard for their loyal customers who made them what they are. It seems like their attitude is "Take it or Leave it".  Well I believe that a majority of their loyal customers will "Leave it".

How did I update to the new dashboard?  I have no recollection of updating. I believe the new dashboard was forced on me.

Best Answer
Well it just showed up when I clicked on Fitbit. No warning. No update notice. Not the way all other companies operate but I guess that is what Fitbit does. My wife got a notice and declined. So I sympathize with your comment about being forced. I guess Fitbit does not understand no means no when we say we don’t like or want the new dashboard.

I opened my dashboard one day and had an offer to update. I declined it. I think it will eventually be mandatory. I am turning off the auto update for apps on my iPhone

I won't stop wearing mine, but it will probably be my last.  There are lots of alternatives  around.  One reason I stayed with fitbit (on my third I think which doesn't say much about the quality / durability but that's another subject for another day) was the fun competition with my family and friends.  We'd check the steps in the current week, chastise my sister for trying to sneak up on us by not syncing, etc.  Now all that's gone at least on the web and it sounds like on the app too (I don't use the phone/tablet app much as I always hated it).

I've heard some excuses about flash, but that's nonsense.  The steps bit is the same as our own steps on the dashboard and that doesn't use flash.  That's all html, javascript, css stuff.
