Did you know Fitbit changed the dashboard look and you have to vote if you don't like it?

Yes I have a question. Why did you fix something that wasn’t broken?

The new update sucks. I’ve worn my Fitbit every day for more than 4years. My next won’t be a Fitbit.

I wasn’t given a choice and I hate it. I’ve worn my Fitbit over 4years and was about to upgrade to the charge 3. I will not be upgrading and I am researching the competition. New upgrade does nothing to give me a better experience and appears to have been upgraded just for the sake of upgrading. What has happened to Fitbit?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner. Thank you for your reply, @pete127.

I am sorry for any disappointment as with this new design we wanted to create a space that is more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized. Thank you for your sharing your thoughts and feedback.

“more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized”

But it isn’t. The old dashboard was all of these things and the new one is not.

The fundamental argument here is non-sensical.

Problem is  I DIDN'T  PICK new Dash.  I saw hubby's and didn't want it. It was forced on me by Fit Bit during a ... We're Cleaning things up for you  - update.  They need to go back to old one.  This is a mess

I had a very similar experience. I clicked onto Fitbit, there was a little blip and the next thing I knew the new version was popping up. I do not like it. I do not want it. And I prefer the old classic dashboard. I do not understand why we cannot have a choice seeing as the foisted this new weaker version on us.

he last 2 days, while I can see the sleep score and total sleep time, I can no longer access the detailed graph through the sleep tile. Is this something that Fitbit are now making part of premium content?

Just got forced into the new App today. Everyone is right- horrible.

I ordered my Withings tracker today. They also have scales and a BP device. The FitBit App was the only thing keeping me as a customer- but I can get all these features in other Apps.

Goodbye FitBit- I do thank you for the good years you made stuff I wanted. Hope everything works out for you.

While researching a FB replacement, found a company in the UK that sold package sets- tracker, scales, BP device.

The new App was a showstopper for me. It looks like it is more of a sales-pitch for services that are already available for free if you know how to type “Google”.

It is a shame. FitBit was in an envied position to have their brand name synonymous with the market- like Xerox, Frigidaire, Velcro, etc.

I have been trying to get used to the new dashboard for months now. You have made it almost impossible to get at anything. From dashboard, click on my log and it logs me out. I have to log back in.  I agree with everyone else. Not user friendly at all.  I have been using Fitbit for a long time.  My next device won't be a Fitbit. If it's not broke don't fix it!!!!

but it is 'broke' so they SHOULD fix it

I agree.  What I was saying is that it wasn't broke before.  They can't leave well enough alone.

katb8 - you made the point well. The dashboard was fine, simple to read, god
graphics . the someone in Fitbit decided to tinker and made it worse!

Why? Because they had to show they were doing something. They did not
improve the look, the functionality, or content. They made it worse.

And we had no choice - one day . POOF! They imposed their changes, something
they do regularly based on the thousands of other posts I see from upset
users.

And Fitbit seems to be very unresponsive to customer concerns.

Do not like the new look.  Can not find how to force sync.  Poor layout and poor communication to customers.  This needs to be fixed.

Best Answer

I agree.  And Fitbit just doesn't seem to care about customer feedback.  My better half was having a lot of trouble with the Fitbit Charge I got him.  I bought him a Garmin Forerunner 35.  He loves it.  Pretty sure that will be my next watch.  Had a Fitbit for many years. Enough is enough.  They don't want to fix issues I have other options. 🙂

Best Answer

Forerunner is a pretty good choice.  I prefer a clip-on step device so I've kept my fitbit.  But I also bought a '35 and use it mostly for my bicycle stuff.  I easily paired it with an old HR strap and that works great too.

Was just thinking about this being marked as solved/answered.  I wonder who did that.  Certainly seems that a lot of folks don't think it's solved/answered.
