I just updated to new version 4.30. Unfortunately, yet another apparently useless update. As has been the case since late August, the app collects current data, but shows zero accumulated data, and each day, steps, floors, distance, are zeroed out and start over for the day.
Far beyond me to understand this. As many others have also noted, surely Google/Fitbit has the resources and skilled employees to fix this swiftly. Yet, over and over, for months, they refuse to do so. Again, my question is....Why?
Please, Google, would you allow us to fully use the devices we've paid for? At last? Please?
At a minimum, would you please give us some complete and forthright information about what is going on. What are your intentions with Fitbit?

@Mikey2 Just updated as well and got the exact same result as you. No prior data for steps, floor, distance, and calories are incorrect as it is assigning a standard 24 hour value given no activity. Today marks 11 weeks (77 days) that the app has not functioned, after 11 years of it working fine.
In going back and looking at what versions were released when - according to the Apple App store version 4.24 was released on August 26. It was the next day when all the problems began. Since then - according to the Apple store - there have been 9 new versions - none of which has resolved this problem. We know the data is there as we get weekly emails showing some of the data. So our Fitbit devices are clearly capturing and uploading the data to the servers. The problem is the app Fitbit app cannot read and present data from the Fitbit servers. Prior to this we had 11 years of functioning service.
Can someone explain why the app now cannot read the data from its own servers, when it could before?

Thanks, dwin for your continued attention to this.
I want to point out, again, that I used the original Windows Fitbit Dashboard for over ten years with my One, and it worked flawlessly all that time. So, again, I ask Google/Fitbit...would you please restore the Windows Fitbit Dashboard? It worked across platforms...I could use it not only on my PC, but on a Fire tablet. It was an excellent program for viewing the Fitbit data, far superior to this current sorry app. So Google...Would you please? These problems would be solved then, wouldn't they?

@Mikey2 @JuanFitbit One other thing (but a positive) that shows the fitbit device is effectively talking to the servers - when the battery gets low, I get an e-mail telling me that and to charge the device.

Yes, same for me. I get the battery warning. The app also shows the current battery status, the percentage charge. Also, my "Active Minutes" record daily, and show the weekly, monthly, and annual accumulations. Not as detailed as the Windows Dashboard was, but better than nothing. I also manually add in my weight every day. The past weight numbers continue to show, and the weight trends chart shows accumulated numbers.
And, I opened an account with the "dashboard.exercise.quest" thing, and it has "lifetime steps" and "lifetime miles." Those advance and accumulate every day, although nothing else shows. So there's another indicator that our data is being gathered and held somewhere. If only Google would fix the app, or better yet, restore the Dashboard. I am pretty sure they could do either or both if they wanted to.

Hi @Mikey2 and @dwin. Thank you for reporting what you're experiencing with version 4.30 of the Fitbit app.
Are you still experiencing zero accumulated data? Please let me know, so I can report it to our team. I'll also mention your Windows Fitbit Dashboard request.
We look forward to get you back on track.

I've been following this for a while and can't believe it is still not fixed. Fitbit One, version 4.3, no data since August 26. And the latest reply, "I'll report it to the team" seems like this will never get fixed. Fitbit one was perfect for me as it goes on my waist. I work in manufacturing so nothing on wrists allowed. I also paired it to Virgin Pulse to collect points for gift cards which have not accumulated since August. Looking into another tracker but all I find is wrist based ones. Just very frustrated as Fitbit has been great for years! The tracker survived a trip through the washer but not a Google takeover it seems...

Yes, the same problems continue. Please ask them to finally fix the problem immediately. Much better yet, restore the Windows Dashboard, which worked flawlessly for more than ten years.

@AndreaFitbit Yes still zero - but still getting the weekly e-mails so data is being captured somewhere. Thanks!

This just unbelievable!
I worked with a manager and submitted images of each month showing steps every day consecutive! It all went to higher team and no fix!
I am approaching 4 years walking everyday and it might be time to find another watch.

Similar problem here - 4.30 Android on a Galaxy s21 - wouldn't sync, shows prior day's data as today's, lost communication with Charge 5, restarted device and phone, got it reconnected after reinstalling app ,and removing device from Bluetooth, got it to re-pair with difficulty. Still wrong data, put part of yesterday's steps in as today's, won't show sleep etc. Device seems to have the correct data, so problem is in the app! I'm ready to switch to another brand at this point.
