Denial of access to the forums from application home screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I go to my account, click on help and then on the charge five forum the response from the forum webpage is that I have been denied access. I have a charge five which I received in September and at that same time migrated from my Fitbit account to the Google account. I can still access the iOS forum from the application but not the charge five forum. I have spoken with Google disability support, Fitbit, customer care, Fitbit, customer care, supervisors, and reported it in the charge five forum. I am using an iPhone SE third generation running  Apple 17.1.1 and Fitbits most recent update 4.04. I am blind and have dictated this on my iPhone and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I use apples, voiceover screen, reading software.

I am able to get to the charge five forum with bookmarks and tabs in safari. I can get there from the main Fitbit webpage atfitbit.com. I just can’t get there using the link to the charge five forum provided in the application.

I use Android 9, but tried it to see if I had a problem. I was able to get to the Charge 5 forum area without a problem. It took a few steps to make it.

I opened the app and selected the settings icon (upper right) then tapped on Help & Support. Then I selected Android App Help Forum and from there used the pull down menu on the left to select the Charge 5 forum, which loaded for me.

Wonder if this is just for those with iOS. I'll ask a Fitbit Moderator to check this out for you, @Podunk .

@Podunk  I use an iPhone.  I switch between a Luxe and a Sense 2.  I get denied access when I use my Luxe, but not my Sense 2.  My solution is to select the iOS app forum, then go to the Luxe forum, if that is my goal.  But I visit many forums every time I visit this site.  I don’t understand why we are denied access for devices on our account.

I have the same issue with denial of access from the application on my iPhone SE third generation, running version 17.1.1 and Fitbit version 4.04. I posted this problem in the charge five forum over a month ago and have gotten no response. Recently I posted the denial of access problem. I’ve had within the iOS forum. Odyssey 13 has escalated the denial of service problem. I posted in the iOS forum.

You may be able to help escalate the denial of access issue to resolution by adding your comments to my denial of access thread in the iOS forum.

I have dictated this on my iPhone, and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings.

I should also mention that I have brought this problem up to Fitbit, customer care, representatives, Fitbit, customer, care, supervisors, and Google disability support. I am a blind user and report issues specific to the blind and reading disabled to Fitbit and Google disability support in hopes that a resolution Might be forthcoming. I also report issues that affect all users sided and non-sided.

I am getting this exact same thing – "Access Denied" – when selecting Settings > Help & Support > Charge 5 Forum in the Fitbit iOS app. This latest update also took away even more features – I can no longer view my heart rate during exercise or re-categorize an exercise that Fitbit recorded incorrectly. So dumb, dumb, and dumber...

Fitbit version 4.06 is being rolled out. The problem with accessing the charge five forum from within the Fitbit app continues.

if you are new to the forum, remember that it takes Fitbit approximately two weeks to roll out an update. Therefore, you will not see a notice of the new update being available until it is available to all forum/community members.
