Did we ever get a fix for the water issue that Fitbit "fixed" (broke more) with the 4.43 update?

4.43 fixed the historical data but broke all the water data entered between the original bug and the fix. I can see comments about it in the original post but can't find any update about whether any continuing update is in the works to fix the data that the first fix broke. All the old posts are locked and it's marked "solved" but it wasn't.
