I can't read much of the display on the IOS app, so I asked my wife for help. She couldn't read it either. So I asked my sister, who also couldn't read it.
They both use Apple i-watches, and everything on the apps that come with their watches is easy to read.
Who thought it was a good idea to display text in light grey on a white background ?
Are there any settings that make all elements of the display on the fitbit app legible ?

Hi @tonycatman. The display of the Fitbit app on your iPhone is controlled by the display settings on your iPhone. Please try going into Settings —-> Display and Brightness. You can set Bold Text to on. You can also increase the text size.
You can also go to Settings —-> General —-> Accessibility and fine tune your screen visibility. Hope this helps.

Nope. That doesn't work, and it is exactly my point.
The fitbit display does not defer its settings to the general settings on the Iphone as other applications do.
It will not change from light grey on white, and it will not change its font size when the general settings change. I'm using an IOS 12.1.1.

@tonycatman, thanks for your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I understand it's been difficult for you to read some of the texts in the Fitbit app, which is why I would like to suggest you to check @Crystn suggested idea to have the ability to change colors in the app. Feel free to add your vote and comment on this idea, this is the best way to make your voice heard and get the attention from our development team.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I have the same issue as I would suspect many of us older users would especially those of us with astigmatism or other eye issues. I fail to understand why Fitbit disregards this issue and the problem is deferred to voting up a post in the community forum as an attempt to get an app fix for what would be such an easy remedy in an app update to change contrast or other text settings within the app. Every time I want to read something I must go to a well lit area to be able to read any bits of data and yes like others I have already changed my phone settings to bold and larger text only to have Fitbit laugh. Consumers spend their well earned money on Fitbit devices so it isn’t asking an unreasonable request to have a text setting on the app in my opinion. I hope this reads well as I’m not in a very bright lit room. HNY everyone!

Well said! My wife uses this app presentation as an example of things to consider when making their apps in high school. ( even they had trouble understanding why this was acceptable)
