Disconnecting fitbit from iPhone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have multiple Bluetooth devices I use with my iPhone.  Currently, the fitbit isn't letting anything else connect to my phone.  How can i temporarily disconnect the fitbit so that I can connect something else?  All research for disconnecting talks about permanently removing or unpairing the fitbit.  That's not what I want to do.

Thanks for any insight.

Hello @bigthunder81, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, the Fitbit trackers are designed to not interfere with the Bluetooth connections of any device, have you tried restarting your Fitbit tracker and check if this solves the problem? If you have already restarted it and it's still interfering, please try the following:

  • Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is listed under paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  • Restart your phone.

This will remove the bond between your tracker and your phone, the tracker will still sync normally if you open the app but it won't be able to receive Notifications. If you'd like to enable Notifications again, please open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account tab > Your Tracker > Notifications and enable them once again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome! Smiley Wink
