Error 18 after update

Help. I clicked on update and now my Fitbit is frozen and I can’t use it.  Error 18 pops up on the Fitbit app.  I read help suggestions and tried deleting the Fitbit app and reinstalling it.  It’s still not working and my Fitbit is useless now. It just shows a half bar as if half updated.  Need help fixing this!  Fitbit.... please fix or replace my fitbit.  Any suggestions?

Turn Bluetooth off and on then open the app and try again worked for me.

I had to turn my Bluetooth off. Go to the app and update it. After the update I turned on the All Day sync which set up Bluetooth.

But it’s working now!

Glad it worked for you. Didn't work for me. Nothing has worked so far, still just dead.

Thanks. I tired that. Went online on laptop and tried the update. Deleted app from phone. Reinstalled. Even tried restarting my Fitbit completely, followed help instructions to plug in and hold down button for 4 seconds and it’s still stuck on a mid upload bar and now says Bluetooth error. I’m going to give customer service a call tomorrow. Thanks so much for your suggestion. I appreciate it.

Hey everyone.  It's fixed!!  I contacted support through chat on here.  I tried troubleshooting on my own and nothing worked.  So this is what they had me do.  Go to my phone, go to Bluetooth, look for my fitbit on there (mine is charge HR), click on the i next to it, and click on forget this device.  I have an IPhone 7 Plus by the way. Then go to your fitbit app, go to ur account page and scroll down to the bottom of it where it says remove this Charge HR.  She told me to click on that.  When I tried it wouldn't let me delete it because it now was recognizing the update, after I deleted the Charge HR from the Bluetooth, and so she instructed me to wait it out for a few mins to see if it updated.  We waited a few mins and it did update and my fitbit turned back on like normal and it's all good. Done and working like normal now.  Give it a try.  I hope that helps you all as well.  If not, try customer service.
