Exercise Voice cues can't be set to 0.5 miles

I've been using my Charge 2 for over a year to track my runs on an iphone XR. I'd set the voice cues for every half mile. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that the voice cues are only announcing every mile. If I try to reset to 0.5 miles(Account>Exercise Tracking>Frequency) and touch the <Voice Cues to return to the menu, the Fitbit app closes without saving. I can change it to any time-based cue and to any distance based cue EXCEPT 0.5 and 1.5 miles. This change may be around the same time my fitbit updated to the latest firmware...What's up with that Fitbit?
