Exercise from yesterday disappeared

I walked on my treadmill yesterday and there was an exercise log created for it and the steps were included in my total steps.  However, today I look at my log and the exercise on the treadmill has disappeared, the steps are still included in total for yesterday!  Yesterday, I also entered a manual log for weights.  That is still showing up.  This is the second time this has happened and coincidentally on both days I logged manually the weights workout.  Does the fitbit not want to recognize two separate workouts at different times.  This is ridiculous!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SUN10.

I am sorry to hear your exercise on the treadmill has disappeared. Thanks for the details shared, I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. Your manually logged exercises and workouts tracked by your Fitbit device should appear in your Exercises. If your walk was tracked automatically by your Fitbit device through the SmartTrack feature, SmartTrack recognizes activities based on the continuous movement of your arms. Sometimes, motions such as placing your arms on the bar of a treadmill, or pushing a stroller while you walk, may interrupt SmartTrack. Additionally, stopping in the middle of an exercise may interrupt the activity tracking. For more information, see How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device?

I recommend doing the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account. Sync your device and check your exercise logs.

You can always log the exercise manually by following the steps from this help article: How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?

Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I'm having the same issue. I run in the mornings and the activity logs in the app. But once I do my daily circuit workout it wipes out the treadmill run. They need to fix this issue, otherwise it's a useless app. I tried all of the provided suggestions and none worked.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @WenMarieP.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing the same issue. I understand how you are feeling and appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. I would like to confirm if you use the Exercise app to track your run or let the device to automatically track it? Do you see your workouts if you log in fitbit.com on a browser and not on Fitbit app? I will be glad to investigate further.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi, I’m also experiencing the same issue, my Fitbit has autorecognised a workout whilst playing netball. I have synced my app in the evening and the activity has uploaded. By the morning the steps and activity have disappeared…two weeks in a row 😞 I’ve tried the above suggestions and no luck!
