My Fitbit app is no longer recording any exercise. For example this morning I went for a walk and started my versa 3 with gps to record the exercise. It is showing on my versa 3 but will not show on the app. Likewise I did a treadmill session at lunchtime, started my versa 3 and it recorded the session but won’t show on the app.
I’m on an iPhone 12 running iOS 17.6.1
fitbit app version 4.24
I have so far done the following:
updated the app and moved over to google
force closed the app and restarted
turned my phone off and on
restarted my versa 3.
None of this has helped so now my versa 3 is pretty useless.
I was looking to upgrade to a versa 4 but not if this continues.
How do I get my exercise logs back please?

This tells us all something about the new parent company and how it will treat their customers as they modernize devices and applications in the future.

Hi Juan,
Just to chime in, as is the case with quite a number of others here, the issue with my device persists. The app seems to capture exercise sessions as auto-recognised exercises. It ignores the session which I have manually logged on my device. Please convey this to your team.

I am having the exact same problem. Has anyone from fitbit corrected this issue yet?

Hi everybody ! Thank you for your messages, feedback and pictures shared.
A lot of you have shared a lot of information.
Just to summarize this and see if some details are missing before reporting the issue again.
- Syncing of activities works.
Activities logged manually in the Fitbit app are not saved .
Only the autorecognized Activities are saved on the app after syncing but not the ones started on the Fitbit device.
Some of the historical data (synced activities ) are not shown in the Fitbit app.
Please let me know if I missed any point so that I can add it to the report.

Hi JuanFitbit--I may be the outlier, but syncing of activities (both auto-recognized and those I start on the Fitbit device) are saved for me in the app. I have not tried adding an exercise manually, so I can't speak to that.

Previous months show the exercises out of order. They are all stacked at the beginning of the month and other strange anomalies. App is definitely not fixed. I posted a screenshot of this phenomenon and it's somewhere on the community boards.

Hi Juan,
in my case not only the manually entered workouts are not showing, but my manually started workouts are not saved, Cycling, weights, yoga, walking even if I press the button to start and then finish it, I see the results on my watch for 2 seconds, even the cycling map will show up on the app and then it disapears, then I will enter manually, it will pop back up, and disapear again.
thanks so much for looking into this, I really dont want to change what I already have!
Christine

@JuanFitbit, none of the activities that I manually start and end on my device show up in the app. I have to manually enter my activities in the app…if I can even remember the time I start and end each exercise when I get home. This started for me on September 1. Prior to that, I had no issues.
The only autorecognized, but incorrect, activity that has shown up this month is “Walking”; but the few times that it did show up in the app, I was doing something totally different that I had manually started and ended as something else. The walk timeframe that showed up was in the middle of my actual activity.
When I have manually entered my activities in the app, they appear to be staying.
The graph that shows the heart rate zones are in the moderate to peak ranges, but the “time in zone” always shows 100% light. I looked back, and this happened prior to September. I think that was something I looked at before and the time in zones was spread out according to the graph, but I can’t swear to it.

Whatever exercises I try to start tracking with my Versa 3, will not show as having tracked on the fitbit app. I have to manually log the exercise. The last time the app acknowledged my treadmill work out was last Tuesday. Everything since then has been manually entered

Hi Juan. I had a particularly frustrating day yesterday. Last year I was able to track my bicycle rides with my FITBIT Blaze while I had the FITBIT app open on my iphone (with Bluetooth turned on). I would get a nice map of my ride, distance, pace, etc. I started the Exercise app on my FITBIT with the Bike option. I verified that it connected to my phone. When I was done I did not get the whole exercise tracked. Only the first 23 minutes. After syncing several times I saw the map. But then I tried to modify the stop time and the whole thing disappeared after I saved. My Active Minutes were updated to reflect the correct stop time and was even synced back to my FITBIT, but I lost the entry under Exercise Days.
Today I had the same issue I have been having when I start an exercise - in this case an Aerobic Workout. When I stopped the exercise it showed the correct Active Minute duration on my FITBIT (41 min). When I synced with the FITBIT app on my iphone the STOP time was wrong for so it only gave me credit for 28 minutes. I changed the STOP time, but it did not update the exercise session info. But the Active Minutes were correct under Active Minutes section. I need to have a reliable interface to the Weight Watchers app.

Ditto... no more actual exercises, even if I start a specific exercise in my Charge 6. All I get is activity levels. This yet another in a series of horrible changes since Google took over Fitbit. I'm looking at new devices and apps. This one is pretty useless now.

The annoying thing, my wife's Charge 2 syncs her exercises. Both have Charge 2, same firmware and same Fitbit app version. Don't get why hers works but not mine.
We just finished an exercise tonight. Mine only shows heart rate/steps/calories etc but no exercise. I'm losing out on Discovery Vitality points. Iv reset my Charge 2 multiple times, reinstalled the app, cleared cache but nada!

my app worked fine till recently and now won't record time in each exercise zone, though graph seems fine. Restarted fitbit, reinstalled app, restarted phone, all w/o help. Can u give me an idea of a fix?
