Exercise sync issues

Hi,

I have an Inspire 2 and an iPhone running the Fitbit app.

When I go out walking I turn the GPS exercise tracking on via my phone and record my route.  I correctly stop the exercise at the end of my walk and can see the map route on my phone (but the calories/steps aren't shown when I go into the exercise.  It says 'loading activity stats').  I pull down the screen on my phone to sync it to my Fitbit but the stats won't update (as it normally does).

I tried rebooting the Fitbit and turning my phone off and on again but I can't get the exercise data to sync properly.

I previously tried deleting the Fitbit app on my phone and reinstalling it but lost the recent exercise data from my phone.

It has now happened a second time and I have done all the same steps except reinstalling the Fitbit app on my phone, which I don't want to do as I will lose the partial data that I can currently see.

Any suggestions, please?

@coolhandphil   When you start your exercise on the app, you are using a feature called MobileRun.  Users with older devices that don't have an Exercise app need MobileRun for GPS tracking.  Your Inspire 2 has an Exercise app.  You should use your Exercise app.  MobileRun has known bugs that Fitbit hasn't fixed.  If you are describing a new bug, I can pretty much guarantee that it won't get fixed.

@LZeeW Thanks for the reply.

I tested your suggestion and, yes, it seems to work. It's not ideal as I can't see my current route on my phone while I'm out walking which is really handy when I'm lost.  Also, my Fitbit tends to brush against my sleeve and pause/start exercise routines at random so I assume it will pause mid-walk and fail to capture the information.  Next time I walk, I will set both the Fitbit and the Fitbit App on my phone and hope that I'll get the data from one of them.

It's frustrating... I have had this Fitbit for 2+ years and have not had this problem before.

Thanks again.
