Feedback about the Fitbit app and its features

I use IOS and have a Fitbit Versa. I’ve used Fitbit for years and this new app update is giving people, including me, some serious issues. Why on earth have you developers decided to overhaul the old design? Yes, it looks good, but the practicalities of it are impossible. I’m unable to make any challenges unless I get invited by a friend, my Versa keeps refusing to sync and more often than not I’m getting a message to say “unable to sync device”. I’m not the only one with these problems and listing all the issues will take hours which I don’t have to waste. If you look at groups on the app you can see all of the complaints. Give me the old one back or sort out these issues! Half of your loyal Fitbit users are even considering getting an Apple Watch instead. And what’s with Fitbit Premium? In the last year alone I’ve paid for my £200 Versa with two extra straps and bought the latest Aria scales. Why should I be paying for premium when I fork out all this money? I started when you had the original Charge and I’m now onto my 3rd fitbit upgrade, the Versa, last year. I think adding premium and expecting us to pay is ridiculous. I’m not even bothering with the free trial as I’m not paying more money to you lot at the end of it. Please sort your s*** out as it’s not fair to those of us who have been customers for years to suddenly have all this to deal with..

I'm sorry for the issues that you've had with the Fitbit app, and appreciate your thoughts about the new dashboard and the rest of its features. Our team developed the new dashboard so you can have more access to other features and have the option to customize your dashboard tiles. I understand that the how you're feeling about this change and I'm sure our team will take every feedback posted in the Community to work and improve our services.

 

About your Versa not syncing, may I know if you turned off other Bluetooth connections that weren't in use nearby? If so, I'd  recommend to remove the Versa from the Bluetooth settings in your phone, force quit the Fitbit app, reboot your phone, open the Fitbit app and try to sync. Make sure to set the notifications afterwards.

 

Regarding to your other question, Fitbit Premium is an additional benefit that brings tools to help you build healthy habits, personal insights into how your behavior impacts your health, and personalized plans to work toward your goals. This is an optional feature and in any way will disable the funtionallity of your Fitbit Versa. You can find more about this here.
