Feedback regarding app updates

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am one of the early adopters of the Charge 3 and I had a Charge 2 for three years prior to my new device.  I am a user that attains 20-30K steps per day.  I have requested several updates, but I believe I have not made myself clear as to what Fitbit App updates I would like to see for the Charge 3.  Please review the following and see if you can get one or more developers working on this:

  • Track walk/run/exercise the same as the Charge 2.  I want to see my mileage, hear my playlist, and hear mile updates with stats.  Doing it through the device is frustrating and I can't see the darn thing in daylight and with sweat dripping in my eyes.
  • Allow me to pick and choose which stats I scroll through on my device.  I don't want to see my weight, resting heart rate, my sleep stats, etc.  I want to decide what I have to scroll through.
  • Allow decisions for my clock face to be update-able through the App.  If I want the two stats to show along with the date and time are heart rate and miles or stairs and steps or whatever, I should be able to make that decision through the App and have it display on my device.

Please, I know you have worked hard on a lot of our requests, but I have a phone and if the App isn't up, I get notifications that I am not syncing, so it is obviously important that the App be up.  I don't want to answer texts, respond to phone calls, purchase something with my credit card on my device.  If I had wanted to do something like that I would have purchased an iWatch.  I liked what I had with the Charge 2, but it wasn't waterproof.  I purchased the Charge 3 as basically an upgrade for the waterproof purpose.  I don't want to reinstate my Charge 2 to get out on the trail and do 7-8 miles so I can experience the glory of beating the time of my last mile and then come home to possibly not have the two devices sync correctly and lose information.  I just want this new one to work as well as the last one.  Please update the App so I don't feel the need to scream at my device on a regular basis.

Hey @cmdonahue, it's great to see you around.

I just wanted to let you know that I have moved your post from the Charge 3 board to the iOS app board, since I think that here you will be able to see more related topics about the Fitbit app.

I also appreciate all the feedback regarding the Fitbit app. Have you checked if they are in our feature suggestions board? If you haven't, I recommend visiting this board and share your ideas with our team. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

I will see you later. Smiley Happy

Moving this suggestion to the iOS section versus the Charge 3 section is like moving it to the black hole of Calcutta.  No wonder nothing ever gets done on the App side of things (except clock faces and that was like pulling teeth).  The iOS for the Charge 3 is sadly behind on updates that have been requested because most owners would like to be able to customize their devices for their needs.

Hello @cmdonahue I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in the response. I appreciate your participation in the Forums and would like to thank you for your feedback. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers.

Please note that as suggested by @AlejandraFitbit you're welcome to check the feature suggestion board and if you're unable to find ideas that accommodate to your requests, you can create your own. This is the best way to make your voice heard and get the attention from our development team.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.
