Fit Bit Alta not recognizing bicycle rides

I was wondering why the Fitbit only recognizes my bicycle rides half the time. I always ride for 20 or more minutes and it is the same route but sometimes the activity is not recognized. Also is there a way to recognize flights of stairs walked?

@ChristaShedrick Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend performing a restart on your Alta (check @CindyFitbit's steps on that post) to prevent this from happening again. Also, check the "Automatically Recognized Exercises" option on your settings. You will be able to set how much time you want to pass for the activity to start tracking. You will notice that 10 is the minimum; meaning your activity will be automatically tracked after 10 minutes of doing that activity constantly.
