Fitbit App on iPhone duplicates food entries from the Recent list

When selecting items from my Recent list to add to my meals for tracking in the fitbit app it has a dependency to duplicate other items or add stuff related to that entry from the past automatically adding calories.  Then the only way it seems to get rid of the excess entries and have them stay away is to log into web app and delete them there and kill the iphone app and restart it to force a sync.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @DoctorDave.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Clear your iPhone cache: How to Clear Your Browser's Cache on an iPhone.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply, @DoctorDave.

Clearing cache can improve the performance of the app. If the issue persists, could you please provide a screenshot of the issue for further investigation. You can follow these steps to attach a screenshot to your next reply: How To: Add An Image To Your Post. Please also provide the model of your phone and the OS. Does the issue affect only foods from the Recent list?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
