Fitbit Free Software Hard To Use?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've got a Fitbit Charge and the free software seems hard to use and doesn't give me much info.  I went to the iPhone app store and wanted to update the software, but the only option is "Open", so does that mean its already installed?  I see no way on my iPhone Fitbit software to see the software version that's installed on my iPhone.  I sure wish I could get more info on the app, like a history step and calorie graph for a week or a month.

The app on my Windows laptop doesn't seem any better.

Also, I looked at the web site to look at the other models of the Fitbit and the comparison chart of models doesn't even show which ones are waterproof (for tracking swimming laps, which I do every day and have to take off my Charge.

Hello and welcome to the forums @Mikey100

Your post was moved to the iOS area of the forum so you might get better responses.

I have Android, but there must be an equivalent iOS of what I see. Application Manager shows me the version of the Fitbit app that's on my phone.

You can see more of what's going on here - click - on your Fitbit Dashboard. Be sure to log in and you'll see your stats.

There is a Charge area to guide you along - click to go there

As for a Fitbit to swim with, there is only one - Flex 2. It's waterproof and a friend of mine loves her daily swims wearing it.

@Mikey100  If you go to the app store on your iPhone, and it says "open", than it means you have the current version.  To see for sure -- assuming your phone has the current operating system -- Go to Settings >> General >> Storage & iCloud usage >> Manage Storage >> Fitbit >> you should see Version 2.39.

To see more step history on your phone -- tap on the step tile and you will see data for the last week.  In the upper right, there are two arrows pointing away from each other.  Tap them and rotate the screen.  This is the data you are looking for.  Tap the arrows pointing at each other to back up.  This series of moves will work on all the basic data -- steps, cals, miles, floors, active minutes.

If you swim, you want a Flex 2.
