App suddenly not syncing surge.  Reset surge and reinstalled App.  Trying to reconnect same surge to app and after entering 4 digit code the app just sits and says connecting to Fitbit but never actually gets anywhere

Hello @Tangerman49, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

When did you start experiencing this situation? Which iPhone version and iOS version are you currently using?

If your Surge is not setting up after removing it from your account because it was not syncing with the Fitbit app I would like to suggest the following:

  1. Restart your Surge one more time by pressing down the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim. Then let go of the button and after the screen turns off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button.
  2. Plug in your Surge and make sure it's charging.
  3. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your Surge is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  4. Restart your phone.
  5. Try to set up your tracker once again:
    • Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
    • Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
    • When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink
