Is anyone else having problems with the Fitbit app freezing on iOS? Even the last two updates the app freezes on opening and I have to force it closed and Re-open several times before it will start and synch
----------
I have this update and had to open and close the app 6 times this morning before it would open withoit freezing

I have been experiencing the same problem of the app freezing upon opening. I’ve tried all troubleshooting methods, many times each, and the problem recurs. My phone is an iPhone 12 mini with the latest stable iOS release, Fitbit app, and Charge 5 firmware.

I am just about over Fitbit. So tired of having a frozen app. It’s totally unreliable. May be time to look for another alternative.

For about a month now, my app has been glitching. It freezes when I open it. Won’t sync. I force close it, turn off my phone, but this only works sometimes. This will happen multiple times a day. It is updated as far as I can tell. Anyone else having issues?

Hi, @MissingVersa2! Have you tried uninstalling, clearing data, and reinstalling the app?

It’s been going on for years. A number of years ago I took the time while exercising to see what the refresh time interval was. I found that every 15 minutes the screen would refresh. Reading the different threads over time. It appears that there is no fix Available. I have gone to clicking on profile/your picture and then clicking on my device and then scrolling down to the synchronize button and separate Heising multiple times. I usually refresh 34 or more times because doing less than that may not get all of the fields to refresh. Last Friday, the tracker I was wearing was not recognized by the Fitbit app on my iPhone. After trying multiple options to force the application to refresh I finally ended up turning off my iPhone, and after waiting a reasonable period of time starting my iPhone up again, and then finally the iOS app was able to locate my tracker and update the data.

Not yet. I was worried all of my stats would be deleted?

Everything is stored on the server, not locally, so no worries about anything being deleted.

Yes they removed, the Deezer music app, I can’t make it sync to my strava app, I can’t log food on the app it keeps freezing, is there any functionality left to remove? 🤣

great irony 😂
it seems the recent shift to google has shaken up the fitbit app…
once the app is working and syncing, never force-quit the fitbit app helped for me staying away from the nasty freeze on launch. but that is just a user work-around and should be fixed by fitbit hopefully soon!

I don’t mind migrating to Google Fit with Fitbit features preserved. I am at a point looking for alternative if not sorted soon.

Hi everybody! Thank you for your messages and feedback.
We released a new app version a few days ago, that should solve this situation.
iOS App (3.86.)
Please make sure to update the app.
For better results, turn the phone off/on after the installation.
Let me know if the issue persists.

I updated two version 3.86 about a week ago. I am still having issues with screen freezing along with others. I have mentioned in my comments in this section on iOS version 3.86. Heart rate and heart rate zone information is now available for those who are blind, and using Apple‘s voiceover screen, reading software. I am still having an issue with the tiles freezing along with other issues, so I’m going back almost 2 years. I keep hoping that Fitbit/Google will improve the user experience for those who are blind and reading, disabled using apples, voiceover screen, reading software, so that they might be able to experience what cited users have always had available to them.

Since moving to Google the app is extremely slow to open, as well as often tells me that sync is taking a while. Sense running version 128.6.17; iOS version 16.5.1 (c).

Possibly time for me to move to Garmin?
