Fitbit app is giving false goals achieved

I have a Charge 5 and it seems to be working fine by keeping up with my steps and giving proper notifications. The Fitbit app is keeping up with my steps well too… when I look at my numbers they match what I am seeing on my watch. The issue is my phone keeps having pop up notifications saying I achieved my goal or well overachieved my goal when I clearly have not. I have included screenshots to show the issue. They are taken from the same week. My step goal is 20,000 a day and I haven’t been close to it lately.

It could be a bug or a glitch in the app's notification system. Have you tried reinstalling the Fitbit app on your phone? Sometimes that can resolve such issues.

Welcome to the forums, @SSgtShaveWaiver@Bozzdivine Thanks for stopping by to help our friend.

@SSgtShaveWaiver Thanks for the details provided, and your efforts while sharing a screenshot. I understand you already set your daily goals, and just before trying the suggestions shared above, please make sure your main goal is also set correctly on the Fitbit app. To do this, let's give a try to the following.

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap your Charge 5 image.
  3. Scroll down and tap Main Goal.
  4. Then select the correct one. If by any chance steps are selected, choose a different one and sync. Then choose the correct one and sync one more time.
