I have the charge 3 and it has been asking me for as long as I can remember. My husband got the charge 5 for Christmas and it hasn’t asked him once. 🤷🏻:female_sign:

Hello @Jglo2
That’s great! It seems to be fixing lots of bugs: syncing and syncing the battery level too!

No such luck for me, I am afraid! I have the Fitbit Inspire 2. There is no update for this model. It's still on Version 20001.124.28. The Inspire 2 Firmware was last updated in April of 2021! The annoying pop-up asking repeatedly for Location Access continues to appear despite repeatedly pressing on the "No, Thanks" button every single time I refresh the bloody thing!!!

I have exactly the same problem. There was a recent Fitbit update for some of its models that apparently corrected this issue for some people. Not for me! I have the Inspire 2 and there was no update for my model. You outlined the problem perfectly! I am also beyond exasperated and considering ditching Fitbit as well.

Hello @MGHTS
It’s not an update for the Fitbit itself, but the Fitbit App on your phone. The App is the same regardless of model. On your iPhone go to the App Store, look for the Fitbit App and it should say update (3.54 is the newest version). When you update it, hopefully the problem should go away.
Good luck!

My Fitbit still has the issue, I'm on version 3.53, and when I try to update it, it says I have the latest version.

Hello @Prometheus1962
Are you searching for the Fitbit App in the App Store? It seems like a bit of a stealth update and I only found it that way. If you search for it, it should say it's version 3.54 and have the option to update. Mine just says to open because it’s already updated.
It might be worth checking again from the search box in the App Store…
I hope that helps a bit.

I had the same problem. I was on 3.52 and checked for an update. It said I was fully updated and current. I then uninstalled the app from the phone and reinstalled. I the version reinstalled was 3.54 and 24 hours on appears to have stopped the message to leave location always on.

Ah! thanks! That's what the problem was. I was looking to see if it needed an update from inside the Fitbit app. I went to the App Store, and you're right - there it was. Installed it and now, finally, there's no annoying stuff about location services.

February 2022 and they have no intentions to get rid of this annoying No Thanks location notification every time you open Fitbit.

Hi everyone!
I'm glad this issue was fixed with the iOS App 3.54 version, and thanks for your efforts while working on this matter. Because this update is progressively rolling out to all our members, if you don't see it available yet, check the App Store again later. For instructions on how to update the Fitbit app, see this help article.
I'm going to close this thread from further comments. However, I'd encourage you to create a new topic in the Help Forums if you have a different question. That way you can receive help from other Community members and moderators.
I truly appreciate your patience and your feedback. We'll keep working to make Fitbit more useful for you.
