Fitbit app keeps prompting to open another app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Help - everytime I try to open a challenge it instead opens another app on my phone. This only started happening when I updated to the new version. The newest update did not fix my issue. I tried going into manage 3rd party apps and removed privileges to the app it’s opening but it still opens it.

I call all customer service and they could not help me. If I delete the app from my phone does it delete my account?

Thank you for the updates.  I’ve deleted and reinstalled ActiveFit twice now. This last time everything worked okay for a little over a week, but I just started having the same issue again. At least now I know it won’t delete all of my information from ActiveFit, so it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. But of course, it is really inconvenience to have to keep doing this. Please continue to keep us updated. Thank you.

Hi @LizzyFitbit ,

Sorry for my delayed response. I ended up having to get a new phone amid everything else. I now have an iPhone XR. I am running Fitbit 3.2. And there are 3 buttons at the bottom. The problem continues.

I am prompted to open an app called ActiveFit. When it is linked to other health apps, I can receive a discount/refund for my gym membership from my health insurance. My Fitbit is linked bc days over 10,000 steps are counted towards the goal. And I log when I go to the gym.

On both phones, the only solution is to delete the ActiveFit app and download it again.  But after a few days, the problem begins again, that whenever I tap for more details under any tile, I am redirected to ActiveFit.

Thank you for your continued support!

Jannine

For the record, I am suffering the same.

Fitbit Version 3.2

OKOK-International version 2.1.2

iPhone XR

IOS version 12.4

I've had to uninstall OKOK-International to use fitbit. This became a problem when Fitbit updated the to the new screen (V 3)  Any button you press (if you want to go into your steps for example) opens the OKOK app instead.

Maybe it's an issue with the health app link through ?

I wish I’d read these messages before I updated my Fitbit 🤦‍:female_sign:

Im having the same problem - keeps opening okok-international app no matter what I click on in Fitbit. I’ve unsynced, deleted and reinstalled both apps and still no better.

This is needs to be sorted ASAP as it’s highly frustrating!

I am having the same problem with it opening my Activefit app.  I deleted my Activefit app and reinstalled it again and seems to work fine now, but as I read other people have done the same and it only works for a few days. Please Fitbit fix this bug ASAP. You should have just left app alone. I never minded how the old app worked. I am using an IPhone 7 iOS 12.4 Fitbit 3.0 with 3 choices on bottom.

Hi

i like the look of the new app but it’s pointless as I can not use it !!!

So I might as well delete it and get another device.

Dear Fitbit support. Rollback the change or fix the issue.

From all the updates I can see you are working on issues. You just seem not to work on this one !

Rollback the change and then test your Software before annoying your customers.

We waited long enough !

With the latest app update, if you have your Fitbit connected with another app (in my case, ActiveFit), when you try to click on a stat such as sleep, heart rate, etc on the Today screen, it will launch the connected app (ActiveFit) instead of give you more details of that stats.  Seems to be a glitch in the app. Anyone else facing this issue? I am in iOS environment

And I don’t want to delete okok as that deletes all my data. What is going on Fitbit?

Best Answer

Add me to the list if frustrated customers who use OKOK·International and Fitbit. My Fitbit interface updated yesterday and will now oopen my scale app whenever I push any of the features on the Fitbit app. I can’t checkmy steps, fitness, challenges, etc. the only way Fitbit now works is if I delete my okok app. I’ve tired uninstalling, reinstalling, logging out, etc. everything the moderator has mentioned. Nothing is working. Please get on the issue Fitbit!

Hi Lizzy, I’m having the same issues since I updated Fitbit app on Monday on iPhone 8+. Keeps launching OKOK·International so I cannot view any of my Fitbit data.

What is the latest update with regards to a solution please?

 Thanks, S

Hi, i am having the same issue it is so frustrating. I had my Fitbit for a few years, barely used it, only started using it today again to see my sleep pattern and it doesn’t show because every time i try pressing on sleep it takes me to my OkOk international app! Which is synced with my scales but nothing to do with my sleep and i don’t want to delete this app to get the fitbit app to work 😡

My iphone is Xs Max

iOS version is 12.3.1

Fitbit app version 3.3.1

the app it opens up is OKOK international version 2.1.3.1

i have actually found the ‘connect to fitbit’ setting on the OKOK·International app which is switched off so i don’t know why would it take me to this app from fitbit app anyway

also went on fitbit app and checked the 3rd party apps - there aren’t any apps on there that would be synced with fitbit.
