Fitbit app not showing heart rate data

Hi all,

The Fitbit app has stopped recording my heart rate data correctly - I know it’s not the tracker (a charge 4) because it’s still displaying on the online dashboard when I login to the Fitbit website. It also shows my current and resting heart rate on the home page in the app, but when I look for more detailed analysis nothing shows up.

I’ve tried restarting the Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, turning heart rate on and off in the tracker but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?

Hi, @DaveJ1 welcome to the community, May I suggest you clear the cache in the Fitbit app on your phone.

This article covers a number of issues relating to Heart Rate and the factors that can affect readings and leads to a number of links that may help you.

If progress escapes you please post here again.

Cheers

Thanks very much for the welcome @Gr4ndp4! I have given that a go, but on an iPhone 11 it doesn't seem possible to clear the cache manually (I've cleared the safari cache and gone to Apps > Fitbit > Settings but the option to clear the cache doesn't seem to be there. I've raised it with support so will see what they come back with.

Hi, @DaveJ1 Try restarting your phone, sometimes this results in Cache being cleared.

Cheers
