Fitbit app not working on iPhone 5S

About 4 days ago my Iphone stopped to open the FitBit  App. I get the information: "Can not get in touch with the topic". I am sure the reason is that I have an Iphone 5S - and after the latest update Apple only allow me to use up to iOS 12.5.4. They want me to buy a new Iphone. But the problem is also that Fitbit accepts this and connect their APP to Apples updates. Are you aware that you leave a lot of users out in this way - and is it FitBits customer policy? Or what can I and all the others in the same situation do? I do not hope your solution to the problem is the same as Apples.I have been using the FirBit App for 5 years.

Thank you very much for the detailed information shared on your post. I'm very sorry for the experience. Please note that any feedback posted in the forums is always welcome as it helps to improve our products, services and overall environment. Let me explain that now it's required to have an iPhone or iPad running iOS 13 or higher to install the Fitbit app. I'd recommend checking this link which describes the compatibility requirements with the Fitbit app. I appreciate your feedback and our team will keep working to make Fitbit more useful for you.

See you around.
