What software version are you using? I am using version 9.3.5 on the iPod touch and I am unable to sign in/update on this device. my iOS software is up to date (according to software update on the iPod.)
edited: We did a back up and restored the iPod touch and all is working again.

My iPod touch is version 10.3.2, is your iPod touch the new generation? I had an older iPod touch that wouldn't update to a lot of the new software because it was updated as far as it could go. oops just saw that you were able to update it, that's good 🙂

Yeah.. Ours was bought in 11/2014. She's due for an upgrade.
