Spoke too soon. Now it takes several attempts with WiFi only before it connects with the network.

Same thing, the app wont open all of a sudden this morning. I am tired of fitbit mobile app problems, I used to have app sync problems, now the app does not event launch... I will never buy fitbit again, it is unreliable

Same issue with since early this am. It finally opened and stayed open so I thought all was good. Went for my walk, came back to sync it and again it won’t stay open. I saw a flash that showed it recorded my steps but wouldn’t stay open long enough for me to look at anything else. Hope it’s just a temporary glitch

Is there an error in the app? I can’t access it even after deleting and reloading to my smartphone?

I deleted my app.  Powered off my phone for maybe 3 minutes…

reinstalled the app ..and every time I click it I opens and goes away..with no time to do anything for fixing it

Mine was ok, but randomly crashing again.

Looks like Fitbit are aware of the issue.

Same as everyone else the app won’t open on my iPhone just keeps crashing. Suggestedvfixes don’t work.

Same for app and website login - both crash. I noticed the website removed the “Sign in” option while I was actively trying to sign in. Hope they aren’t getting hacked…

Only received my FitBit last night and the same is happening with mine. I have done all all the things you have several times over. Thanks for commenting.

Maybe FitBit should offer a roll back to the previous version or remove the 3.76 from the store until they get the issue identified and resolved.  This is ridiculous that the issue has been going on since yesterday and they haven't offered a solution.  Put a stable version back in the store.

I think Google are updating it in the background and their server is causing the app to close.

To test it: Turn off WIFI/Data and the app opens and stays open. So, it's only when connected to the server, that it closes.

Can’t blame an iPhone for for a google owned company like FitBit being so bad.

Thank you for your post, with so many people complaining it had to be a major problem 🙂
