Fitbit app won’t use data

So this is an odd situation. The app refuses to use data on my iPhone! The only thing that has worked is my home wifi(the one at my work:Walmart doesn’t work) or shutting off both background app refresh and use of data for the Fitbit app restarting my phone and turning them back on

however this lasts for all of five minutes! I can’t log food I eat or sync my watch unless I am at a home wifi!!

I love Fitbit but this is beyond frustrating as I don’t want to have to carry around trash till I am at home again!

Will other apps use data minutes while at work?  It sounds to me like it might be something in your phone settings rather than a  Fitbit app problem.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for your help @JohnnyRow. Hi there @BreStar.

I appreciate the details shared on your post and for trying some troubleshooting prior posting. I recommend trying the following:

  • Make sure the Fitbit app is up-to-date, a new version was just released. For more information, see How do I use the Fitbit app?
  • Go to your phone settings - tap Cellular
  • Make sure you enable your mobile data to be used by Fitbit by toggling the switch to green and after that, you should be able to sync and use the Fitbit app when you don't have Wi-Fi.

Hope this helps.

Yes! All my other apps use data just fine. Even if I close all apps except Fitbit, Fitbit still refuses to use data
